Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Unveil Future Plans

It was a big day up in Seattle for the nation’s largest education focused philanthropy.  Erik Robelen from Education Week has a good summary of what the foundation revealed today.
In a more opinionated piece, skoolboy writing over at Eduwonkette takes aim at his least favorite piece of information released today: the Gates Foundation plans to develop its own national standards on what it means to be college-ready and even create its own national assessment test.
