Abe Bates was born in Liberia West Africa; she has been in the United States for the past 12 years residing in Richmond VA. She is a recent Graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University; she currently holds a Bachelors of Science degree with a major in psychology. Prior to joining the 2tor team she worked as an office assistant at the Virginia Commonwealth University office of undergraduate admissions. In the last year she interned as an assistant instructor at the Chesterfield Women’s Correctional center in Chesterfield, VA and also volunteered as a mentor for the United Methodist All God’s Children Camp in Middleburg, VA working with children with incarcerated parents. As a recent college graduate she is excited to be entering the work force and to be joining a great company where she will be able to help guide others in the educational career.
