Amy Caruso spent more than 10 years producing live television news programs for commercial and public television stations. In her spare time she has worked as an editor for in-game Jumbotron productions for the Carolina Hurricanes hockey team and as a script supervisor for a couple of independent films. More recently, she worked as a public information officer for a branch of the North Carolina Division of Public Health where she managed media campaigns and a website redesign. She has a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from UNC at Chapel Hill. She volunteers as a docent at the North Carolina Museum of Art and loves spending time with her niece and nephews.
